Yogurt is one of the most delicious and healthy snacks on the market. It is filled with vitamins and minerals essential to our health. This yummy snack is not just for consumption. Yogurt contains high levels of nutrients that are beneficial to the skin and hair. This yummy and creamy snack is rich in lactic acid that contains multiple beauty benefits.

Dry Skin

Remove dark patches and scaly skin with yogurt. Apply yogurt on damp skin before taking a shower. Massage yogurt on the affected area or all over the skin to help moisturize. Massage it for about a minute or two and leave it on for ten minutes. Rinse off with mild soap and tepid water. Lactic acid a hydroxyl-acid can help hydrate, exfoliate and soothe the skin.

The components of yogurt can help give your skin a healthy and supple glow. Create an easy to make hydrating facial mask. Mix 1 tablespoon cocoa powder, 1 tablespoon honey and four tablespoons of yogurt. Apply this mixture on clean face and leave it on for 20 minutes. Rinse off with lukewarm water. This mask will help hydrate the skin, removing tired and dull appearance. You can use this mask twice a week.

Blackhead and Whiteheads Remover

The lactic acid in yogurt can help exfoliate the skin and remove junk in the pores. Remove your blackhead and whitehead with the mixture of equal parts yogurt and rice powder. This will create a thick paste that you can apply on your blemishes. Massage it in circular motion and leave on for a few minutes. Rinse with cold water.

Lighten Blemishes

If you have acne marks, insect bites or light scarring, apply diluted yogurt on the affected area. Zinc found in yogurt can help lighten blemishes, scar and discoloration. It can also help reduce the inflammation and redness of the skin.

Applying a thin layer of yogurt on your under eye area can help lighten the appearance of dark circles. Leave a thin layer on the under eye area for about 15 minutes. Do this every day for a week to see a significant difference.
