Dandruff affects millions of people all over the world. This can be due to having dry scalp, a medical condition, or poor hygiene for that matter. When you have dandruff, your scalp becomes itchy and white flakes tend to fall off whenever you touch your hair or run your fingers through it. Unfortunately, these flakes can be quite visible when you are wearing a dark top which can be quite embarrassing. So how can you deal with this pesky hair problem? The good news is there are home remedies that can help you with your dandruff woes and one of them is baking soda. Here are a few tips on how you can use this to beat dandruff problems.

Baking soda and lemon juice can help you deal with dandruff because lemon acts as a natural astringent that can eliminate any bacteria that may be causing dandruff to appear. You will need 2 tablespoons of lemon juice and 1 and ½ teaspoon of baking soda. Mix the two together until you get a thin paste then apply it on your scalp. Massage the mixture on your scalp for 2 to 3 minutes then rinse it off with cool water.

Rose water mixed with baking soda

Another way to use baking soda when it comes to your dandruff problem is to mix it with rose water. Combine the two together until you create a paste then massage it on your scalp for about 2 to 3 minutes. The baking soda granules can help exfoliate your scalp so that the dry flakes will be removed. Rinse your hair and scalp with cold water.
