Although many will be rejoicing that winter is finally over, because it left their skin feeling dull and dry, the summer season is not going to be any better especially when the UVA/UVB rays are exceptionally high. If you want to show of a healthy and glowing skin during the summer months, these skin care tips are worth following.

Always cleanse

Cleansing should still be part of your daily routine even during the summer since you tend to sweat more during these months. This means that more buildup on your skin will likely happen, what with the presence of dirt, oil, sweat, makeup, and other skin products that you are using. Cleansing your skin in the morning and at night can help keep your skin clean from any potential clogging.


Another trick to having beautiful glowing skin not just in the summer but throughout the year is to exfoliate your body at least three times a week. One reason behind this is that dead skin tend to accumulate which can leave your skin looking dull. You can either opt to make your own scrubs, such as honey and sugar, or buy pre-made scrubs to help exfoliate your skin. Follow this up with moisturizer after you take a shower to let your skin absorb plenty of moisture.

Hydrate by drinking

In order to achieve healthy and glowing skin during the summer, make sure that you stay hydrated at all times. You need to drink about 7 to 8 8 oz of water per day. Not only will this help keep your skin moisturized, but it will also eliminate the toxins in your body by flushing them from your system.

Sunscreen matters

Stepping outside for hours can leave your skin exposed to the harsh rays of the sun. Unfortunately, this can affect your skin’s pigmentation, plus it can speed up deterioration and aging. In order to avoid this, you might want to apply sunscreen all over your body at least half an hour before leaving your home. Choose a sunscreen that has high SPF for better protection against UVA and UVB rays.

Pay attention to your feet
