Must read

There is nothing so welcoming than taking a warm bath after a long day and what’s even better is getting a detox bath that will help remove all the impurities and toxins from your body to help rejuvenate and refresh your skin from the inside out. Just think of all the toxins that we absorb on a daily basis and imagine they are accummulating inside of you. If they become too much, they can cause your skin to become dull and dry while leaving you prone to various health issues. Detoxing while taking a bath is one of the best ways to remove the toxic substances inside of you. To get you started, try the following bath remedies for your overall wellness.

  • Clay detox bath. For this bath remedy, you will need half a cup each of bentonite clay and Epsom salts as well as some essential oils. You will need to dissolve the salt and essential oil in your bath water first. With regards to the clay, you can mix the clay with some water until it dissolves before adding to the bath or make a paste by combining clay and paste then apply all over your body. Leave it on for 5 minutes before soaking yourself in the tub. Soak for 20 minutes or more. The clay ingredient will help bind any heavy metals in your body to the clay while the Epsom salt will remove the toxins while increasing your magnesium levels.
  • Lavender bath. When your stress levels are way too high, relax and unwind with a lavender bath. You can fill a tea bag with some dried lavender leaves then place it in your bath water or add a few drops of lavender essential oil to your running water. Soak in the tub and inhale the calming and restorative properties of lavender. This bath remedy can also help address any inflammation in your body.
  • Oxygen detox bath. Another bath remedy that is also worth looking into is the oxygen detox which is perfect for those who are not feeling well. You will need a tablespoon of dried ginger and 2 cups of hydrogen peroxide. Just fill your bath tub with warm to hot water then add dried ginger and hydrogen peroxide. You should soak in the tub for 30 minutes or longer to help clear any congestion or inflammation in your body. This is also a good remedy if you are suffering from irritation or allergies.
  • Cinnamon bath. If you want to get rid of the impurities in your body, you need to take a cinnamon bath. You can put ¼ cup of ground cinnamon in a cheesecloth or drop 4 cinnamon sticks in your bath water and soak in it.
