We all feel anxious or nervous during periods of stress and extreme pressure. Different conditions trigger anxiety, and this is normal. However if anxiety attacks frequently, your life start changing for the worst.

Most people resort to overeating or the consumption of fattening and starchy food to make them feel better. People who suffer from general anxiety disorder find comfort in food especially during attacks.

What seem like normal near-constant muscle tensions such as balling of fists, muscle flexing, and clenching of the jaw are usually seen among people who suffer from chronic anxiety. Health experts recommend that people with anxiety disorder exercise regularly to relieve the tension that has built up from within.

  • Digestive issues

People who suffer from anxiety usually encounter digestive problems. This can due to the fact that the digestive system is directly linked to the brain via the vagus never. As people who have general anxiety disorder tend to eat unhealthy, their gut bacteria are affected by mental health. This leads to the development of irritable bowel syndrome or other digestive problems too.

  • Attention and focus problems

It is relatively difficult for people with anxiety to focus their attention on one task or activity. As their concerns are a plenty, they tend to have a distorted perception of things and will most likely end up in a panic attack.

People who can’t focus their attention due to chronic anxiety will feel strange around many people. They will manifest negative symptoms such as trembling, nausea, profuse sweating, and breathing difficulties too. These symptoms can be very disruptive to the day-to-day activities of people who need to socialize as part of their work.
