The rough texture of sugar can help slough off the dead skin, while honey can help moisturize your skin at the same time.

Use a water-based moisturizer

Another tip to help revive your skin is to apply water-based moisturizer on your skin. During winter and spring, you’re probably lathering thick lotions just to deliver moisture back to your skin. However, as the summer months are approaching, it’s a good idea to switch up your moisturizer into something light. Water-based lotions are light but will still be able to penetrate deep into your skin.

Consider self-tanner

You really don’t have to wait for summer to come knocking because you can show off that tanned bod of yours with a little help from self-tanners. If you are planning on tanning your skin, make sure that you cleanse and exfoliate first, then apply an oil-free moisturizer. This way, the self-tanner will be applied evenly on your skin.

Like it was mentioned before, cleansing your skin is important. This is necessary to help get rid of any impurities that have been trapped in the pores of your skin. You will find that cleansing your skin can help lighten up your skin easily.

Sun protection

If you haven’t started wearing sun protection before, now is the right time to do so. You will need to wear apply a sunscreen that has an SPF of 15 or higher. It is important that you re-apply your sunscreen every two hours as much as possible in order to keep your skin from getting damaged.

Cut back on your makeup use

What else can you do to have a summer ready skin? Well, this is the perfect time for you to reduce your use of makeup products as this is necessary to help your skin breathe. If you are applying foundation, a better option is to choose something lightweight and has hydrating properties. Keep in mind that your skin needs to be hydrated since the summer heat can rob your skin of its moisture. By keeping things light, you can avoid clogging the pores of your skin.

Treat your feet

Summer means sandal season which is why you should treat your feet too. Cracked heels may not be pretty to look at when you are wearing sandals, but the good news is that you can repair the skin easily. After exfoliating your heels, apply some coconut oil on your feet then cover them in socks. You should let the oil soak overnight. Wash your feet afterwards.
