Pimples can drive us crazy when they decide to pop out without any warning.  Hormonal changes, stress, diet, and even the makeup we are wearing can clog our pores, causing inflammation to appear. Although there are spot on treatments available, sometimes they are not as effective in treating pimples fast. With this being the case, you might want to consider trying some overnight home remedies to alleviate the inflammation and speed up the healing process. Here are some remedies to try.

Honey. Honey is one of the best home remedies available that can quickly dry your pimples overnight. It is considered as a natural disinfectant which can get rid of the microbes that are lingering on your pores so that the healing process can start immediately. To use this home remedy, you should use a clean and sterile Q-tip to apply the honey on the affected areas. Leave it on for 30 minutes then wash with warm water.

Frankincense essential oil. Another home remedy that can remove pimples overnight is frankincense essential oil. What’s great about tthis oil is that it can be applied directly on the pimple but if you have sensitive skin, make sure that you do a patch test first to ensure that you are not allergic to the oil. Frankincense oil can reduce inflammation while killing off any bacteria lingering on your skin as well as the pores. Just dip a cotton bud into the oil and apply it directly on the pimple as well as the surrounding skin. Leave it on overnight.

Lemon juice. You can also use lemon juice to remove pimples overnight. One reason why this is a useful home remedy is because the lemon juice contains properties that can eliminate bacteria and other germs that are causing inflammation on your skin. It also works as a natural astringent which can reduce the size of the pores to minimize oil production. You can apply the juice on the affected area using a sterile cotton swab and leave it on overnight. For the more difficult cases, mix some cinnamon powder with lemon juice for a night treatment.

Lavender essential oil. Lavender essential oil is also a useful treatment against pimples because of its antibacterial and antifungal properties. The antioxidants that are present in this oil can also help speed up the healing process. You will need to dilute the lavender essential oil first before applying on the affected area. Leave it on to air dry. You can reapply the solution after a few hours to dry the pimples out.

Tea tree oil. Another home remedy that can make your pimples disappear overnight is to use tea tree oil. This particular remedy is well known for its ability to treat acne and other skin break outs. The antibacterial properties of the oil can remove microscopic organisms that are triggering inflammation. It can also reduce the redness and swelling too. Dip a cotton ball into the tea tree oil and apply it on the affected area. Leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes then wash afterwards.
