Even dry skin is a factor in having an itchy skin which can be quite uncomfortable to say the least, especially with all the scratching that you are doing. Although having itchy skin is not that dangerous to your health, when you start scratching, your skin can break and bleed, leaving you more prone to the presence of bacteria which can lead to more health issues.

That being said, there are several tips on how you can deal with itchy skin and fast. Here are a few suggestions that you can try:

Apple cider vinegar

Treating itchy skin caused by psoriasis, dandruff, stings, or even chickenpox is possible with the help of apple cider vinegar. What’s great about raw apple cider vinegar is that it contains anti-fungal, antiseptic, and anti-inflammatory properties that can help reduce the swelling and irritation on your skin. Mix equal parts of water and apple cider vinegar and apply on the affected skin twice a day.

Leaf gels

Another possible solution to itchy skin is applying leaf gels on the affected area. Aloe vera and menthol work wonders as they help soothe the irritation. The aloe vera gel can be applied directly on the irritated skin, while the menthol needs to be diluted first.

When applied topically, it may help reduce the itching, plus prevent bacteria from forming too. For those who have fresh basil, simply crush a few leaves then apply on the itchy parts of your skin.
