Thanks to the technology that powers today’s modern hearing aids, patients experiencing hearing loss problems can live easier. So how do these medical communication devices help people with these kinds of medical conditions? Here is how:

  • The microphone part of the device picks up the sounds.
  • The processing chip embedded into the device will analyses the sounds.
  • The amplifier receives the sounds processed by the processing chip.
  • The amplifier amplifies the sounds and sends them to the device’s loudspeaker.
  • The loudspeaker transmits the sounds into the inner ear. These sounds are then transformed into what we call “electrical impulses”.
  • Finally, the brain picks up these impulses and processes them.
