DIY Beauty Products You Should Try

Must read

Beauty products are not that hard to come by, it’s true, but when we are talking about the quality of these items, not everyone can deliver what we need. Also, these products don’t come in cheap but should you really spend a lot on these beauty items?

If you are on a budget but would like to treat yourself at home, these DIY beauty products are worth a shot.

Tea tree and lemon scrub. For this recipe you will need 2/3 cups of brown sugar, ½ cup of baking soda, 1/3 cup of honey, half of lemon, juiced, ½ to 2/3 cups of raw sugar, ½ cup of extra virgin olive oil, 10 to 15 drops of tea tree essential oil, and storage jars. Put all the sugar in a mixing bowl then add the oil into the mix so that all the sugar will be coated. This will prevent the sugars from breaking down once you add the lemon and honey. Add the baking soda then mix. Add the essential oil and honey. Don’t forget to add the lemon juice last. Divide the mixture into your storage jars and keep them in the fridge. This mixture can last up to 2 to 3 weeks.

Uplifting eye cream. In this recipe, you will need 4 teaspoons of avocado oil, 2 teaspoons of rosehip oil, 2 teaspoons of melted beeswax, 3 drops of lemon essential oil, 2 teaspoons of calendula oil, ½ teaspoon of corn flour or cornstarch, and 1 vitamin E capsule. Place a stainless steel bowl on top of a pan or a double boiler. Let the water in the saucepan or double boiler to boil gently. Put all the ingredients into the bowl or boiler with the exception of essential oil and vitamin E. Stir the ingredients gently using a whisk until everything is melted. Remove from the heat and water. Add the vitamin E and essential oil then mix some more. Pour the mixture into sterile jars and let them cool before using.
