There are effective ways to get rid of your dark knees. You can easily get rid of these dark knees using various home remedies, such as scrubs and skin bleaching.

Let’s try some of the effective tips below:

1. Lemon

Wash your knees, using half of lemon fruit and the other half on your other knee. Rub into your knees for at least 10 minutes, while allowing the juice to dry. Rinse off with cold water after. You can do this at least twice a day or as often as necessary. Always apply moisturizer after.

2. Olive Oil

Warm a bit of olive oil and apply it on your knees. You should rub the oil well into your skin. You should do this treatment at night, before going to bed, and should be done thrice a week only.

You can also choose to use coconut oil, instead of olive oil. But if you’re using coconut oil, it needs to be massaged daily.

3. Almond Scrub

To make the almond scrub, mix 1 tbsp powdered almonds, 1 tsp. almond shells and fresh cream. Then apply the almond scrub on your knees, and massage for 7-10 minutes. Leave on for at least 5 minutes and rinse off using lukewarm water. Dry your knees after, then apply moisturizer.

4. Baking Soda

Baking soda is considered to be a good natural scrub and can be used on your knees regularly to get rid of flaky, dead and dark skin.

You can make a paste from the baking soda using water. Then you can apply the paste on your dark knees and leave on for about 5 minutes or so. After 5 minutes, wet your hands and start scrubbing your knees, on which you have applied the paste. Scrub your knees for 7-10 minutes. Rinse with water after and then towel dry. Apply moisturizing cream on your knees after.

Do the above procedure daily for at least 2 weeks. Doing this will lighten your knees considerably. You can then do the treatment every other day.

5. Oatmeal Scrub

To make the scrub, mix 2 tbsp. powdered oatmeal and 2 tsp fresh cream. You can use cold cream or honey to replace fresh cream. Apply the paste on your knees and leave on for about 2 minutes. Then massage the paste on your knees, by using only your fingers for massaging. Do this for 10 minutes, then rinse off using cold water after.

Apply moisturizing cream after, to lock in the moisture on your skin. Doing this will effectively remove the layers of dead skin cells on your knees.
