Thick hair is an attractive quality and a sign of fertility. A full head of hair can tell about your health and how genetically inclined you are. Hair loss is a huge problem for both genders. There can be several factors to hair loss such as aging, stress, scalp infections, hormonal imbalance, environmental factors, nutritional deficiencies, genetic factors, excessive smoking, wrong use of products, medical conditions such as thyroid problems, medication, anemia, chronic illnesses, polycystic ovary syndrome and autoimmune disease.

A first sign of hair loss is what you see in your pillowcase. Four to five hair strands in your pillowcase is normal hair loss, when it exceeds 10; you might be dealing with hair loss. When you notice the first signs of hair loss, it is best to take action immediately. Leaving things as they are, are giving you bald spots, receding hairline and of course baldness. There are a lot of readily available items that can be used for hair loss treatment at home.

Oil Massage

One of the reasons of hair loss is damage to the hair follicle. You can prevent this by increasing blood flow in the scalp and follicles. Massaging your scalp will help strengthen the root of the hair and increase blood flow. Use coconut oil, amla oil, olive oil, castor oil, etc. Massage the scalp with the maximum of five minutes, anything more may give you an oily scalp and hair. This treatment can help relax the mind and reduce stress levels. Using the right oil can also help remove dandruff. Massage your scalp three to four times a week to prevent hair loss and improve hair growth.

Indian Gooseberry

Amla or Indian gooseberry is a great natural remedy for hair loss. Vitamin C deficiency can produce brittle hair and cause hair loss. Indian gooseberry is rich in vitamin C and iron that can prevent hair loss. It also contains anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory, exfoliating property and anti-bacterial that can prevent dandruff, improve scalp health and prevent hair damage.

Fenugreek

Fenugreek is one of the most commonly used home remedy for hair loss. It contains hormone antecedents that can improve hair growth and hair follicle health. The nicotinic acid and protein in fenugreek can help repair damage to the hair follicle to increase hair growth. This is a natural way to repair hair follicle, it contains no chemical that can damage hair and scalp. Soak fenugreek seed in a cup of water overnight. Remove the seeds from the water and grind the seed into a paste. Massage this paste on the scalp and hair. Make sure that you spread the mixture evenly before wearing a shower cap. Let it sit for 30 minutes to an hour. Rinse it off with a mild shampoo. Perform this treatment every morning to increase hair growth.

Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera has been used in different skin and hair treatment due to its nutritional and mineral contents. One of the hair problems that it can fix is hair loss. Enzymes in Aloe Vera promote hair growth and the Exfoliants in it can remove clogs in the hair follicle. Aloe Vera can also give you relief from inflammation, itchiness and dryness. You can use Aloe Vera gel or juice for this home remedy. Massage it on the scalp and hair strands. Leave it on for a few hours, you can wear a shower cap or towel. Rinse off the mixture with lukewarm water. Perform this two to four times a week for noticeable results.

You can keep hair loss at a minimum by improving your lifestyle and diet. Drinking plenty of water and adding more leafy greens to your diet will keep your hair growing healthy and strong. Eating a balanced diet will also prevent other hair and scalp problems such as dandruff and pili annulati.
