Helpful Tips for a Clearer Skin

Must read

We all want to have smooth and clear skin as much as possible but there are times when acne breakouts occur much to our dismay. It’s true that there are many factors that can cause acne or pimples to appear such as sweat, dirt, medication, hormonal imbalance, and even stress for that matter but this doesn’t mean that you won’t be able to do something about your skin. The good news is that there are steps that you can take to help clear up your skin from any acne breakouts and blemishes. Interested? Here are some tips to get you started.

Don’t touch your face. If you tend to touch your face from time to time, stop it as soon as possible. Touching your face with your hands can actually be one of the reasons why you have pimples popping out of your skin because of the dirt and bacteria that are found in your hands. Just imagine where your hands have been and the amount of germs that they have picked up throughout the day. Now imagine transfering that to your face. Not a good idea, right?

Sleep. Unfortunately, we are all guilty of skipping sleep because we prefer to stay up late as much as possible because of work or partying with friends. Little do we know that these late night antics of ours can cause acne to breakout because we are stressed and our body doesn’t have enough time to recuperate. Getting eight hours of quality sleep can do wonders to your skin as it can help in the healing process. So make it a point to sleep early at night to help prevent acne breakouts from occuring.

Wash your face before and after the gym. Your skin tends to absorb pollutants and other dirt before you arrive in the gym which is why you need to wash your face first before doing any workouts. This will lessen the chances of your pores being clogged with dirt and sweat so that acne breakouts can be avoided. Make it a point to wash your face after your fitness routine too to remove sweat and other dirt that you have picked up.

Moisturize. Make it a point to moisturize your face regularly. This will prevent your skin from drying out. Your skin needs constant moisture for it to remain smooth and supple. Moisturizing also prevents acne from cropping up unexpectedly so make sure that you do this daily routine starting today.

Ease up on the makeup. Another tip to keep your skin clear is to lessen the use of makeup. Makeup particles can easily get lodged in your pores and, if you tend to sweat a lot, can clog your pores with them thus triggering acne breakouts. It’s important that  you remove your makeup at night and do your nightly skin care routine to prevent clogged pores and dry skin.

Exfoliate. Exfoliating your skin from time to time will help keep your skin clear and beautiful because you are removing dead skin cells. This allows new skin to develop as well as increase blood flow in this area of your body for that natural glow. Look for exfoliating products that are made from natural ingredients or make one on your own.  Don’t scrub too hard when exfoliating as it may aggravate your skin.
