Fruit juices, energy drinks, and even sodas may taste good but they are filled with calories that can add to your weight without you really noticing it. If drinking is said to help with weight loss, what beverage should you be choosing to help with your weight loss goals?

  1. Water. There is no better solution to losing weight by drinking than water. Water is essential to our overall health because it helps flush the toxins from our body. It can also keep us hydrated so our energy levels will stay up. Another plus to water is that it can sit in your stomach for hours which can help curb your hunger. If you are already bored with water, add a few slices of fruits to help freshen you up.
  2. Honey. Another weight loss drink that you can whip is honey water. Honey is actually a good addition to your water as its natural sweetness can satisfy your sweet tooth without adding calories. Just boil a cup of water then add a tablespoon each of honey, lemon, and cinnamon. Mix the ingredients thoroughly and sip the concoction.
  3. Vegetable juice. You should also include vegetable juice in your list of drinks to consume daily. What’s great about making vegetable juice is that you can get important nutrients into your body such as fiber, vitamins, and minerals all of which can help boost your metabolism. It’s always a good idea to go organic when it comes to your vegetables to ensure that there are not much chemicals in them.
  4. Cinnamon. Cinnamon is actually quite powerful when it comes to shrinking your waistline. What this spice can do is to regulate your blood sugar levels to help curb your cravings and to make you feel full too. For this solution, you will need to boil a cup of water then add a teaspoon of organic cinnamon and a tablespoon of organic honey. Mix them thoroughly and drink half a cup before you have your breakfast and another half a cup 45 minutes after you eat dinner.
  5. Black coffee. Drinking black coffee in the morning or having some iced coffee in the afternoon can help increase your metabolism for a short period of time while suppressing your hunger as well. Of course, you should watch what other ingredients you are adding such as sugar and milk. Going for black coffee can help you speed your metabolism up. Just make sure that you don’t go overboard with your coffee as too much can make your heart beat erratically.

As you can see, it is possible that what you drink can help you lose weight. It is just a matter of choosing the right beverage to add to your diet that is important.
