Enlarged pores can be prone to clogged pores because more dirt, sweat, and oil can get inside of them. This can lead to skin irritation such as acne breakouts, inflammation, blemishes, and the like. Of course, those who have oily type of skin often have visible pores compared to others and although you want them to disappear, you can’t as they are part of your genetics. This doesn’t mean that you can’t reduce their size. The good news is that you can actually minimize the size of your pores using the following home remedies.

Yogurt mask

One of the best ways for you to reduce the size of your pores is making a yogurt mask because it has lactic bacteria and probiotics that can keep bad bacteria at bay. Applying it on your skin can also function as a cleanser where impurities are removed. You will need to give the yogurt a bit of a stir before you put a thin layer on the face. You should leave this for about 10 minutes then rinse afterwards with cool water.

Egg whites and lemon juice

The combination of egg whites and lemon juice is one of the best remedies that you can use to make your pores shrink. Egg whites have the ability to remove excess oil while tightening the skin while lemons can function as an astringent where bacteria are killed off. All that you have to do is to whisk the whites of two eggs before adding the juice from half a lemon. Mix the two before applying on your face. Leave the mask on until it has dried then wash it off using cool water. You should do this two to three times a week.

Another possible remedy that will help reduce the size of your pores is to use papaya. This is quite simple to use because you just need to mash some ripe papaya first then spread it over your face. You should leave it on for about 20 minutes. Wash your face afterwards to remove traces of papaya. What’s great about papaya is that it not only tightens your skin but it can also tone it too. It has the ability to purify your skin so that your pores will be from any blockages.
