Heavy bleeding during menstrual period is often referred to as menorrhagia and can affect a lot of women regardless of their age. Menorrhagia is characterized as prolonged periods or having too heavy bleeding compared to those who have normal menstruation. It can be accompanied by large blood clots, fatigue, continuous muscle cramps in the lower portion of the abdomen, and even shortness of breath. Apple cider vinegar

If you want to regain control over your heavy bleeding during your periods, you might want to try apple cider vinegar. You can create a tonic out of it to help get rid of any toxins that are present in your body as well as minimize headaches, fatigue, cramping, and irritability even. You will need to mix 1 to 2 teaspoons of raw apple cider vinegar in water then drink it 3 times within the day throughout your menstrual cycle.

Cinnamon

Steeping a cinnamon stick in a cup filled with hot water can actually help reduce the amount of bleeding during your periods. If you don’t like to drink tea, you can take 3 drops of cinnamon bark tincture two times a day to help regulate your bleeding.

Coriander seeds

Another possible remedy to your heavy bleeding is coriander seeds. In Ayurveda practice, coriander seeds can help regulate menstrual bleeding because it assists in improving the function of your uterus and even bring balance back to your hormones. All that you have to do is to add a teaspoon of coriander seeds to about 2 cups of water, boil until the water is reduced, then add some honey before drinking. This will give you the results that you are looking for when it comes to your menstrual period.

Omega-3

You should also consider raising your intake of foods that are rich in omega-3 fatty acids like fish, seeds, and nuts because this fatty acid is critical to regulating your period. Not only that, omega-3 can also aid in enhancing your cardiovascular system too.

Comfrey

You can also turn to herbs to help you manage the heavy bleeding that you are feeling during your menstrual periods. One reason behind this is that this herb can actually help constrict the blood vessels in order to reduce bleeding.  Add 2 teaspoons of comfrey leaves in a cup filled of hot water then steep for 20 minutes. Strain it afterwards before drinking the solution.
