You can also add some indigo coloring to darken your hair especially the areas where grey hair appear. You will need to use henna regularly to keep greying hair at bay.

Ginger. This may be the last thing on your mind when it comes to treating your grey hair but it does help a lot. You will need to grate some ginger and mix with a tablespoon of honey before consuming. The compounds present in both the ginger and honey will be able to keep your hair strong and healthy so that grey hairs won’t appear too soon. You will need to take this solution daily.

Coffee. If you have brown or black hair but would like to add some tonal gradation to it, coffee would help you fairly quickly. All that you have to do is to brew a pot of coffee and set it aside to cool. Once cooled, combine a cup of the brewed coffee with two cups of hair conditioner. Add some spent coffee grounds in the coffee cup the apply on your hair. Leave the solution on for an hour before rinsing. The results of the coffee dye is going to be mild so you can repeat this treatment until you have achieved your desired color.

Coconut oil. Another home remedy that you can use for your grey hair is coconut oil. Coconut oil actually has plenty of health benefits so it shouldn’t be too much of a surprise to find that this ingredient can be used in keeping grey hair at bay. Just mix some lemon juice with coconut oil then massage on your hair and scalp. This will help you get that black and shiny hair in no time.

Potato skins. Potatoes are good for cooking but don’t throw the skin just yet because you use them to darken your hair. The starches present in the potato skin work as colorant which can help darken your hair naturally. Just boil two cups of water with a cup of peeled potato skins for 25 minutes. Strain afterwards then set aside the solution until it cools. You can add some essential oils to make the solution more pleasant. Shampoo and condition your hair then part them in sections. Apply the potato skin solution on each section then rinse afterwards.
