Who doesn’t want to have glowing skin? That dewy, and smooth skin is guaranteed to add to your overall beauty for sure. Most of us rely on moisturizing creams, cleansers, and toners to keep our skin looking amazing. Unfortunately, this habit of ours is usually restricted to our face only, leaving the rest of our body needing some TLC.

If you want to achieve beautiful, glowing skin, you should also pay attention to the rest of your body for an even look. One way to reveal naturally glowing skin is through body scrubs to help remove dead skin cells that make your skin look dull. Body scrubs can take time but they are worth the effort because of the results afterwards. For those who want to make their own body scrubs, here are some options for you to consider.

  • Lemon and sugar body scrub. Rough skin can do well with a bit of body scrub. For this recipe, you will need a teaspoon of lemon juice, a cup of granulated sugar, and 6 tablespoons of sweet almond oil or olive oil. Combine all ingredients in a bowl. Take a shower to help moisten your skin. Apply the scrub and massage it all over your body. Rinse afterwards then pat your skin dry. You will probably see a huge difference to the quality of your skin afterwards.
  • Banana sugar body scrub. Bananas are not just for making face masks but also for doing your own body scrub. This fruit contains high amounts of vitamin C and B6 that help treat dry skin. You will need to prepare ¼ cup of coconut oil, ¼ cup of apricot, 1 cup of raw sugar, ¼ cup of coconut butter, ¼ cup of shea butter, and 1 ripe mashed banana. Put all the ingredients except the cup of raw sugar in a blender and blend. Add the sugar slowly then blend until you reach the desired consistency. Massage the mixture all over your body while in the shower and rinse afterwards.
  • Brown sugar and vanilla scrub. Here is a body scrub recipe is just like when you’re in the spa. The brown sugar can help exfoliate your skin while the vanilla will leave you smelling nice. For this recipe, you will need to prepare ¼ cup of white sugar, 2 tablespoon of sunflower oil, ¼ cup of brown sugar, 2 tablespoon of raw sugar, and 1 ¼ teaspoon of vanilla extract or seeds from 1 vanilla bean. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl until they are mixed thoroughly. Apply all over your body in a circular motion to help remove all dead skin cells as much as possible.
