A recent study showed that consuming caffeine five minutes after learning something will improve your memory for 24 hours or more.

Though some of the negative effect is unnoticeable in the morning, these can make waking up harder and cause nightmares. You can prevent this by cutting off coffee from your system 6 to 8 hours before your bedtime.
