So if you have nothing to do and you want to snack on those green bananas on your kitchen countertop, just follow these easy steps on turning them into delicious fries:

Carefully peel green bananas with a knife. Unlike ripe bananas, you won’t be able to peel green bananas easily with your hands. You may try, but you are sure to have a really hard time! 

Slice peeled green bananas in half crosswise. Afterwards, chop them up into 1/2-inch thick strips. 

Using medium-high heat, deep-fry green banana strips in hot vegetable oil. Wait until they’re golden brown, which can take anywhere from 5 to 7 minutes. If necessary, cook them in small batches. 

Transfer cooked green banana fries on a large plate that’s lined with several pieces of kitchen paper. 

After a few minutes, remove kitchen paper and sprinkle with a little sea salt and finely-ground black pepper. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce like ketchup, mayonnaise or mustard.

That’s how quick it is to turn those green bananas that you have a hard time enjoying into fries that you will surely love snacking on! They’re perfect especially when you have health-conscious visitors dropping by.
