Face Oils for Clear, Hydrated, and Healthy Skin

Must read

Taking care of our skin can be a hit or miss depending on the skin care products and routine that we are following. Many of us are actually investing on the wrong beauty items because we are not really aware of our skin type. Some of us have oily skin while others have dry or neutral skin. Others even have combination skin which can be harder to take care of since you need to address both types as much as possible. With that being said, turning to face oils appears to produce better results since they come from natural resources and are able to penetrate the skin deeply. The question now, however, is which face oil to use.

If you want to try applying face oils on your face, make sure that you dilute them first in carrier oils like olive oil, almond oil, or coconut oil as these essential oils can be a bit harsh on the skin. So here are some of the best oils that are worth trying to achieve clear, healthy, and hydrated skin.

Oregano oil

If you have oily skin, you might want to try oregano oil as it contains antiseptic and antibacterial properties that can eliminate the root cause of your acne breakouts. Also, oregano oil has anti-inflammatory properties which can reduce redness, swelling, and itching on your skin. Thanks to its antioxidant properties, this oil can help hydrate and heal your skin so less scarring will be seen. You should mix 2 to 3 drops of oregano oil with your choice of carrier oil such as almond or coconut oil and apply on your skin two times a day.

Jojoba oil

Another choice to consider for your skin is jojoba oil. This type of oil actually simulates the sebum that our skin produces naturally so that our skin won’t create too much. This prevents the pores from being clogged by too much sweat, oil, and dirt. When applied with other oils, jojoba can easily seep into the skin without leaving it too greasy. You might want to mix it with other oils first as sometimes it can leave that extra sheen on your skin when you are not too careful with your application.

Frankincense oil

For those who are dealing with mature looking skin, your best bet is to use frankincense oil. The ketonic alcohol is the one that is responsible for treating dry and aging skin hence it is a good addition to your skin care routine. The astringent properties of this oil can actually expedite the healing process of the skin so you will see a significant improvement when applied regularly. It can combat acne as well as help you deal with the scars and it can even hydrate your skin too so you won’t have to worry about seeing signs of aging like fine lines and wrinkles.

Hemp seed oil

If your pores are quite visible to the naked eyes, especially around the T-zone, you might want to try using hemp seed oil on your face. What this oil can do is to actually shrink the pores on your skin thus eliminating over production of oil, acne, and even prevent blackheads from occurring. When used regularly, hemp seed oil can help hydrate the skin, boost elasticity, and fight off free radicals that are harming the skin. This type of oil can be a bit dry which is why it is always a good idea to mix it with some thick oil like jojoba or castor oil before applying on your skin.
