Looking your best in the summer may sound like a challenge what with the hot weather that you’ll have to deal with that can melt most makeup, the fake tans that have gone awry, even frizzy hair can make your summer not as idyllic as you want it to be. The good news is that you won’t have to feel blue that things aren’t going your way, because there are several beauty hacks that you can do to make your hot summer fabulous! Let’s get started!

Baking soda

It’s nice that you are sticking with self-tanner to save your skin from the harsh rays of the sun, but when there are uneven blotches, don’t worry. All that you have to do is to mix some baking soda with water and use to exfoliate your skin. This way, you can redo your self-tanning to get it correctly.

Powder deodorant

Drying your hair with a blow dryer makes it easier for you to style your hair even in summer. But with the hot air blowing against the nape of your neck, you’ll be sweating like crazy after! The best way to avoid this is by applying some powder deodorant behind your neck at least 10 minutes before you style your hair. This way, you won’t have to worry about smelling like sweat afterwards.

Potato exfoliator

You don’t really need to go to the nail salon every other week just to keep your pedis in tip top shape, because you can easily get rid of the dead skin cells on your feet with the help of potatoes. Cut one in half then cover it in coarse sea salt. Scrub the sides and bottoms of your feet to remove dead skin. This is how easily you get to show off your feet minus the cracks and darkening skin.

Aloe vera ice cube

Since you will be spending some time outdoors, chances are you are putting yourself at risk of sunburn. That said, it is always better to be prepared in the event that you have burned your skin pretty bad while enjoying the beach. All that you have to do is to prepare some frozen aloe vera gel which you can apply on the damaged skin. Gather the gel from the leaves of the plant and put them in your ice tray. Pop the tray in the freezer and use them as needed. Not only will the cold temperature help numb the burnt area, but the soothing properties of aloe vera will be able to expedite the healing process.

Put your manicure in the fridge

To save you from the effort of having to redo your nails, place your choice of manicure in the fridge, along with the base coat and top coat, at least an hour before you paint your nails. This will help reduce bubbles from forming on your manicure.

Use vinegar to protect your hair’s color

Regardless of what color your hair is, the combination of the sun and salt water will not be good for your hair. If you wish to avoid your hair color from becoming dull, you will need a little help from apple cider vinegar. Put half a cup of this vinegar in a spray bottle then spritz on your hair. Let it sit for 10 minutes then wash your hair afterwards. Do this before you spend the day outdoors as it will help protect your hair against fading.
