Developed by Dr. Pierre Dukan, who is a nutritionist, this diet focuses more on eating protein so that the fats and carbs will be squeezed out of you. Know what foods to eat

Follow the Dukan Pyramid 

The base of the pyramid revolves around protein-rich foods like lean meat, fish, poultry, and eggs. The second day sees you adding vegetables to your meals. On the third day, you can have fruits too with the exception of grapes, bananas, and cherries. You can start treating yourself on the fourth day of the diet where you can have 2 slices of bread and even 1 to 2 slices of cheese too. By the sixth day, you can introduce starches back to your diet such as pasta, potatoes, beans, and bananas, but make sure that you don’t overdo it. There is still a fine line between eating healthy and just gorging on food. The seventh day is definitely the exciting part because you can consider it as a cheat day. This can mean having a cake for dessert, a slice of pizza, or something that you have been craving for the entire week but make sure that it is just in small quantity.

Exercise 

The Dukan Diet isn’t just about what food to eat but it also promotes physical activity. Start with a 10-minute walk on the first day then increase the time every day. You can either go back to your regular diet and just stick with exercise or re-do the whole Dukan Diet until you have achieved your desired weight. 

The best thing about following the Dukan Diet is that it won’t make you feel that you need to starve yourself to actually lose weight. Within a week, you will see a considerable change to your current weight because you are activating your metabolism by burning fats since you are limiting your carb consumption. You can actually repeat the diet any time you want because it is not that hard to do and it will even help you regulate your weight easily.
