Like salt, sugar has been given a bad reputation in the health community. Like its counterpart, the biggest issue we face with sugar is the high amounts in our food. High amounts of sugar can lead to tooth decay, weight gain, diabetes and digestion problem. When taken in the right proportion sugar can help fuel your body with energy. You can get the right amounts of sugar from the fruits you eat, due to its natural sugars. Though, people who are diabetics should still avoid eating sugary foods
since it still affects sugar levels.

Fruits and Vegetables

This food group is popular in the scientific community due to its effects on the human body. Several studies have shown that people that consume more fruits and vegetables in their diet are less prone to serious health problems such as stroke, high blood pressure, diabetes and cardiovascular disease. The nutritional content of vegetables is incredibly high and can give the body the amounts it need to go through the day. Fruits contain an antioxidant that can help remove free radicals in the body that causes serious health problems.

Vitamins and Minerals

These are mostly found in the food we eat, especially in organic foods. These vitamins and minerals are essential to improving our overall health. This affects the metabolic process of the body and its bodily function. Each vitamin and mineral have a certain effect on the body and each have a certain amount that is accepted by the body.
