Not really.

If you want to start lean eating to ditch the excess weight, then these basic rules should be followed. Once you get the hang of this type of diet, you will find it easier to manage your weight in no time.

Don’t eliminate the carbs

Going cold turkey on carbs doesn’t always get results which is why health experts that, instead of eliminating them immediately, you should gradually remove them from your diet. When you reduce the amount of carbs that you eat, you are actually helping your metabolism to speed up. There are six types of carbs that you should eliminate slowly from your diet and these are: foods with added sugar, refined grains, whole grains and starches, fruit, non-green vegetables, and vegetables. Start with the first two then when you still don’t see any progress with your weight loss, proceed to the next. Make sure that you remove one type of carb every three weeks until you see results.

Eat fruits

Although fruits contain carbohydrates and that they are part of the group that you will need to reduce or ditch at one point, there are some types that are high in antioxidant content which can actually help you with your weight loss goal.
